Founder and CEO Sarah Nuse and the Tippi Toes corporate team will directly operate the Kansas City market, continuing the company’s more than two-decade connection to the community
KANSAS CITY, MO, August 21, 2026 — Tippi Toes Dance Company, a nationally recognized children’s dance program dedicated to developing confidence, positivity and joy through dance, today announced its continued commitment to serving schools, families and dancers throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area.
Founder and CEO Sarah Nuse and the Tippi Toes corporate team will directly operate the Kansas City market moving forward, ensuring continuity of the Tippi Toes program while expanding direct support for local schools and families.
“Tippi Toes is here to stay in Kansas City,” said Nuse. “This community isn’t simply another market for us; it is an important part of our story. I want our schools and families to know from my heart that we are committed to Kansas City, and I couldn’t be more excited about this next chapter.”
Nuse founded Tippi Toes in Norman, Oklahoma, in 1999 with a mission to create a positive and encouraging environment where children could experience the joy of dance. Just two years later, she brought the program to Kansas City, where Tippi Toes began to flourish and the vision for the company’s future took shape.
Today, Tippi Toes serves children and families in communities across the country while remaining committed to its original mission: developing confidence, positivity and joy in children through dance.
As the Kansas City program transitions to direct operation by the Tippi Toes corporate team, the company is working closely with its local school partners to provide continuity for families and prepare for upcoming classes.
Families can expect the original Tippi Toes curriculum, music and age-appropriate dance experience, with tuition remaining the same and additional support provided directly by the corporate team. Tippi Toes also plans to bring new experiences to Kansas City dancers, including special visits from Tippi the Turtle and a complimentary copy of the company’s new children’s book for every enrolled dancer.
